On June 3rd shortly after 7:30 pm North Bay Police responded to a person needing medical attention on Main Street in North Bay. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a North Bay man.
Travis Stillaway, age 24, is charged with:
- One count of Assault with a Weapon; and
- Four counts of breach of probation.
It is alleged that the victim and accused are known to each other. The accused approached the 20 year old male victim on Kinsmen Trail between Main Street and McIntyre Street. The accused confronted the victim alleging he had stolen his bike. When the victim made a denial he was struck in the head with a baseball bat. The accused left the scene and the victim was able to contact police.
The accused received a non-life threatening injury that required medical attention and has been released from medical care.
The accused was located in proximity to the location where he was arrested.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
