Bomb Threat

Yesterday afternoon North Bay Police responded to a report that an explosive package was in a Canada Post distribution centre.

On Tuesday December 4th 2018 shortly before 5 pm police received information that a phone call had been received at a call centre in North Bay. The caller indicated a parcel containing explosives was in a Canada Post distribution centre.

The Canada Post location on Worthington Street in North Bay was evacuated as a precaution. When police deemed the area safe, employees were allowed back in the building.

The contents of the threat were time sensitive and there is no information to suggest that there is a safety concern at this time.

North Bay Police are working with Canada Post Security and other law enforcement agencies as the investigation continues.
