In the early morning hours of February 13th North Bay Police responded to break and enter reports in the 300 block area of Lakeshore Drive and the 300 block area of Wigston Drive in North Bay. As a result of the investigation police have arrested and charged;
Jason Ranger, a 45 year old man of North Bay with:
One count of Attempt Break and Enter; and
One count of Break, Enter and Theft.
It is alleged that the victim at the residence located on Lakeshore Drive woke up at approximately 4:30 am and found a man trying to break into his residence. He scared the accused off.
Shortly after 5:30 am police responded to a residence on Wigston Drive. The accused was in the residence attempting to steal property when he was confronted by the owner. The accused left the scene but was apprehended by police a short distance away.
Police secured evidence to link the two break-ins.
The accused was later released from custody and will appear in the North Bay Courthouse on the 26th of March 2019 to answer to the charges.
