On February 13th the North Bay Police Service recognized the graduates of their first Citizens’ Police Academy.
The academy offers community members the opportunity to learn about their local police service and the legal system. It ran every Wednesday night for six weeks at the North Bay Police Headquarters.
The classes, which were interactive, included popular topics such as crime trends, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, fraud, forensics, emergency response and police training.
The Citizens Police Academy is an educational program offered by the North Bay Police Service to enhance a partnership with the general public. The academy was well received by an enthusiastic group. North Bay Police will be looking to the fall of 2019 to engage Callander and North Bay residents with a second academy.
