Last night North Bay Police responded to a domestic call in the east end of the city. A male made threats to his spouse and accessed a firearm he had. As a result of the investigation;
A 34 year old man from North Bay is charged with:
One count of Assault;
Two counts of Threatening;
One count of Pointing a Firearm
One count of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public
One count of Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest..
It is alleged that on July 12th shortly after 9 pm a verbal argument took place between the couple which turned violent. At one point the accused accessed a firearm and made a threat towards the victim.
The victim was able to leave the residence and the police were called. The accused left the house but was located in North Bay later in evening and, following struggle, an arrest was effected.
The man has been held for a Bail Hearing.
In order to protect the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
