Drug Investigation results in Seizure

In October of 2018, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation. As a result Police arrested and charged two males:

Timothy Bailey, age 52, of North Bay with:

Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking;

One count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance; and

One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00.

Craig McIntosh, age 43, of North Bay with:

Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking;

One count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance; and

One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00.

It is alleged that in October of 2018, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation involving illicit drugs intended for sales.

The investigation lead to grounds for arrest and a traffic stop was performed on October 15th, 2018. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of both men. A search resulted in the seizure of the following;

Eighteen grams of crystal methamphetamine,

Eighteen-and-a-half grams of cocaine,

Fifty-one oxycodone tablets,

One-hundred-seventy morphine capsules,

Fourteen morphine capsules,

Two grams of fentanyl.

$1,903.00 in Canadian Currency

The total value of the drugs seized is estimated at $15,692.00.

Craig McIntosh was held for a bail hearing and Timothy Bailey was released from custody and will appear in the North Bay Courthouse on November 20th, 2018 in answer to the charges.
