Fall 2019 Civilian Police Academy

September 5, 2019

As part of our ongoing efforts to meet with and work in conjunction with our community we are running our second “Civilian Police Academy” this fall. The intent of the program is to provide individuals with a professional or personal interest in community policing with an opportunity to acquire knowledge on various aspects of policing.

The academy will be 6 sessions, one per week, with each session being 3 hours in duration. We will cover multiple topics and services that we provide in hopes that it opens dialogue and provides the people we serve with an insight into how policing in 2019 is accomplished and its future direction.

Dates; September 25th, October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th 2019.

Time; 6 pm to 9 pm on these Wednesday evenings.

Place: North Bay Police Service Headquarters, 135 Princess St, North Bay

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have no criminal record, and be of good moral character. The class will be limited to 15 participants, with preference being given to applicants living in Callander and North Bay.
