Male charged with assault

North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Marc Gerard Leblanc, aged 30 years.

4 counts assault

1 count aggravated assault

On July 18, 2017 it is alleged the accused was socializing at an Oak Street residence where he and a female victim got into a verbal confrontation and he was asked to leave. He then assaulted the victim and she fled to a nearby neighbour requesting they call police. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

While investigating the above incident police learned that between May 25, 2017 and June 10, 2017 the accused entered a Cassells Street residence demanding drugs. He then assaulted a male in the residence. Between June 15, 2017 and June 25, 2017 he attended the same Cassells Street residence and assaulted the victim a second time. On that occasion he pulled a knife and the cut the victim. On July 19, 2017 he attended a Fisher Street residence and assaulted the same victim a third time. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

The accused was arrested on July 23, 2017 and held for a bail hearing on July 24, 2017.
