Male sells drugs to undercover police officer
On July 22, 2017 members of the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation into an unknown male from southern Ontario attending North Bay for the purpose of selling drugs. Police made arrangements to meet the unknown male for the purpose of purchasing drugs.
On July 27 2017 police arrested and charged Juan Martinez-Cabrera, aged 31 years, of Barrie, Ontario with:
1 count Possession for the purpose of trafficking
1 count Trafficking a substance
1 count Possession of property obtained by crime
As a result of the investigation police seized 22 grams of crack cocaine (street value $2750) and $1390 in Canadian currency. The accused’s 2007 black Acura was also seized as offence related property.
The accused was released with court date of September 12, 2017.
