The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a 43-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle.

The accused in this incident is Kevin JAMIESON, male, age 43, of North Bay, who is charged with:

• One count of Theft of Motor Vehicle
• One count of Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
• One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on November 25, 2024, the victim in this incident attended a business on Main Street East, North Bay. The victim left his vehicle running outside while he entered the business. While the vehicle was unattended, the accused entered the vehicle and drove off.

Police located the accused at approximately 2:30 a.m. on November 26, 2024, at a hotel on Seymour Street, where he was arrested.

The accused and victim are not known to one another.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
