A 20-year-old North Bay man has been charged as a result of a stabbing incident that happened on Manitou Street last Thursday.

Nathaniel DEPOTIER, 20 years, of North Bay, was charged with

One count of Assault With a Weapon

One count of Aggravated Assault

One count of Uttering Threats

On Thursday, May1st, at around 9am, officers were dispatched to a disturbance on Manitou St. Upon arrival, an adult male suffering from injuries from a sharp object, was located and transported to local hospital by ambulance. Police began to investigate and a suspect was quickly identified. A short time later the accused was taken into custody. The accused and the victim were known to each other. The victim was treated for his injuries and later released from hospital.

The accused remains in custody for a bail hearing.
