Media Release: Drug Trafficking Charges Laid after Search Warrant Executed at a Regina Street Residence

The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has arrested a man and seized more than $32,000 in illicit drugs following a Street Crime Unit (SCU) investigation.

The accused, Warren Jesso, 48-year-old, male, of, North Bay Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (Brass Knuckles)
  • Two Counts of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

As part of the NBPS SCU investigation, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant at approximately 4:00 a.m. on March 6, 2026, in the 300 block of Regina Street. The accused was arrested without incident.

Subsequent search led to the seizure of the following items:

  • Controlled substances with an estimated street value of over $32,460 including:
    • 254 grams of Cocaine
    • 3 grams Fentanyl
    • Qty 64, 100mg Hydromorphone
  • Brass Knuckles
  • 6 rounds .22 calibre ammunition
  • 1 round .223 caliber ammunition
  • $11,140 Canadian currency

“Our partnerships with specialized units like the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit are critical to ensuring the safety of our community and our members,” said Insp. McFarlane. “Working together allows us to effectively address criminal activity and remove dangerous offenders, weapons, and drugs from our neighbourhoods.”

The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
