Media Release: Second Suspect Arrested for Break and Enter at Local Financial Institution

The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has arrested a second suspect in connection with a recent break and enter at a local financial institution.

The accused, Joshua Duchesne, 32-year-old, male, of, North Bay Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter a Place with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance
  • Three Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

On March 8, the NBPS requested the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a break-and-enter at a local financial institution. During the investigation, officers located and charged the first suspect on March 10 in the area of Main Street East and John Street. On March 17, the second suspect, matching the description, was located in the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive. The individual was positively identified and arrested without incident. A subsequent search of the suspect revealed a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

"The community’s support in this investigation was instrumental,” said Insp. McFarlane. “Keeping our city safe is a shared responsibility, and it’s through the vigilance and cooperation of residents that we are able to quickly identify and hold those responsible accountable."

The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
