The North Bay Police Service has arrested a 34-year-old male for break and enter.

The accused in this incident is Matthew John STANOVA, male, age 34, of Burks Falls, Ontario, who is charged with:

• One count of Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on January 25, 2025, the accused attended a cannabis store on Main Street East, North Bay. The accused broke an exterior glass window to gain entry to the story, at which point a witness contacted police. The accused stole several cannabis products before fleeing the location. Police located the accused a short time later at which point he was arrested and charged. The estimated total cost of the stolen products and damage to the business is approximately $1,400.

The accused was help in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
