North Bay Police Arrest Man on Drug Charges

Members of the North Bay Police Service with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau have arrested and charged a 23-year old man in North Bay. Elijah CAMERON has been charged with drug trafficking offenses.

Elijah CAMERON is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

On June 1, 2021, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested CAMERON after a foot pursuit.

Police searches revealed approximately 26 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street price of over $9,100 as well as approximately $600 in currency.

The accused is currently in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.

This investigation was conducted as part of Project Drifter. Project Drifter is a joint forces operation between the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau. The continued partnership identifies, investigates, and takes enforcement action against individuals believed to be involved in the illegal distribution of controlled substances in the Nipissing District.
