The North Bay Police Service has charged a 26-year old man with child sexual assault and distributing drugs to minors.
The accused in this incident, Cody Alexander SECORD, male, age 26, of North Bay, also known as “Cody THOMPSON,” is charged with:
- Two counts of Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age
- Two counts of Sexual Interference
- One count of Distribute cannabis to individual under 18 years of age
- Four counts of Traffick in Schedule I substance – Cocaine
The North Bay Police Service initiated an investigation after receiving reports that the accused sexually assaulted a victim, who is a minor, in December 2021 and in February 2022.
As part of the investigation, the North Bay Police Service received reports that the accused provided a substance believed to be marijuana to a victim, who is a minor, between September 2021 and April 2022.
Further to the investigation, the North Bay Police Service received reports that, in December 2021, the accused is alleged to have supplied a substance believed to be cocaine to four victims, all of whom are minors.
On April 8, 2022, members of the North Bay Police Service located and arrested the accused.
The accused is currently in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
