Members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 23-year old North Bay man with drug trafficking offenses and conducted the Police Service’s largest ever seizure of methamphetamine.
The accused in this matter is Zeke ALBERT, male, age 23 of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Two counts of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
On November 17, 2021, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit attended a residence on Harris Drive, North Bay in an attempt to locate the accused on an outstanding Arrest Warrant. Police Detectives observed the accused exiting the rear of the residence at which point the accused was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant.
A search by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 615 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
- Approximately $1,505 in Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $61,540. This is the largest seizure of methamphetamine ever conducted by the North Bay Police Service.
The accused is being held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
