North Bay Police Service Arrest, Charge Seven with Drug Offences

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged seven individuals with drug trafficking offences.

As part of an investigation into suspected drug trafficking, the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit conducted surveillance on a residence on Manitou Street, North Bay, believed to be involved in the trafficking of illicit drugs.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on October 5, 2021, members of the North Bay Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the residence. Three of the accused were in the vehicle and were arrested.

Subsequently, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on the Manitou Street residence. Four of the accused were located in the residence and arrested.

The accused in this matter are:

Mohamed AL-KUHLY, male, age 18 of Hamilton, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • One count of Failure to comply with release order

Jaiden FORBES, male, age 18 of Hamilton, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • One count of Failure to comply with undertaking

Nadia HARPER, female, age 22 of Thunder Bay, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • One count of Obstruct Peace Officer
  • One count of Failure to comply with release order

Ismail Mohamed ISMAIL, male, age 18 of Hamilton, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Sentence

Kyle Daniel LIVINGSTON, male, age 41 of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

Natasha RESTOULE, female, age 36 of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

A Young Offender who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Once count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence

In accordance with Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, the North Bay Police Service cannot release the name or any identifying information of the accused Young Offender.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 28 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • Approximately $5,000 in Canadian currency
  • A Hyundai car
  • Suspected drug trafficking equipment

The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $13,500.

The North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit was supported in this incident by the NBPS Community Response Unit and Emergency Response Team.

The accused are being held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
