Northern Shores Pharmacy Robbery Update

North Bay Police advise there have been two arrests in the ongoing investigation into the May 20th robbery of a north end pharmacy.

Members of the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit and the Criminal Investigation Section have continued to investigate this robbery. The investigation lead to the identification and October 16th arrest of Justin Vaillancourt, age 29, of North Bay. He has been charged with:

  • One Count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery;
  • One Count of Robbery with a Firearm;
  • One Count of Use Firearm in Commission of Offence;
  • Two Counts of Pointing a Firearm ;
  • Two Counts of Forcible Confinement;
  • One Count of Disguise with Intent;
  • One Count of Breach of Probation; and
  • One Count of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.

Following a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse Justin Vaillancourt was released from custody and will appear in court again on November 12th, 2019.

The investigation was complimented by the assistance of the Hamilton Police Service. An Arrest Warrant was granted for a female who was arrested by the Hamilton Police on November 4th and returned to North Bay. The female, Michelle Bryant, age 48, of Hamilton has been charged with;

  • One Count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery;
  • One Count of Robbery with a Firearm;
  • One Count of Use Firearm in Commission of Offence;
  • Two Counts of Pointing a Firearm;
  • Two Counts of Forcible Confinement;
  • One Count of Disguise with Intent; and
  • One Count of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.

Michelle Bryant will appear in the North Bay Courthouse November 5th for a bail hearing.
