The North Bay Police Service has arrested a 37-year-old male on assault with a weapon and mischief charges.
The accused in this incident is Corey Daniel Joseph TURCOTTE, male, age 37, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Assault with a Weapon
- One count of Mischief Under $5,000
- One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on October 30, 2024, the North Bay Police Service received a report that the accused was knocking over and damaging garbage bins and ash trays in the 100-block of Main Street East. A bystander in the area, who is the victim in this incident, confronted the accused. The accused threatened to fight the victim at which point the victim disengaged and began to walk away. The accused then threw a glass bottle at the victim, missing him. No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The cost of the damage caused by the accused is estimated to be less than $5,000. Police located the accused in the area at which time he was arrested and charged.
The victim and accused are unknown to one another.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear before the court on November 19, 2024.
