The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) is excited to announce that the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics is returning on March 7, 2026. This annual event brings together individuals, organizations, and businesses to take the plunge into icy waters for a great cause.
“The Polar Plunge has become a long-standing North Bay tradition that supports Special Olympics and, most importantly, athlete equality, inclusion, and wellness,” said Chief Longworth. “This event is a powerful demonstration of what our community can accomplish when we come together.”
What makes this year’s plunge extra special is that all funds raised will directly support the 2027 Special Olympics Ontario Provincial Winter Games, proudly hosted in North Bay by NBPS. The goal for this year’s event is $50,000, and NBPS is calling on the community to help reach it.
