On June 5, 2022, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 45-year old man with Break and Enter offences.
The accused in this incident is Quinton Bradley DARKE, male, age 45 of North Bay, who is charged with:
- One count of Break, Enter a dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence
- One count of Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
- One count of Mischief Under $5,000
- Four counts of Fail to Comply with Probation order
- One count of Breach of Recognizance
On June 5, 2022, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the accused attempted to enter a residence on First Avenue East, North Bay, while a victim and witness were present inside the residence. After this attempted entry proved unsuccessful, the accused began to damage the exterior of the residence by removing stairs from the front porch, causing several hundred dollars-worth of damage.
The accused then left the location and attended another building on First Avenue East, North Bay, where the accused broke a window and entered the building. Once inside, the accused began to damage the interior of the building, causing approximately $1,000-worth of damage.
Members of the North Bay Police Service attended the building and located the accused inside, where he was arrested.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
