Police Arrest Man and Young Offender In Relation to Cedar Heights Road Home Invasion

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged one male individual and one Young Offender in relation to a home invasion that took place in the early morning hours of April 27, 2021, at a residence on Cedar Heights Road East, North Bay, near Highway 11.

In accordance with Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the names of the accused or any other information that may lead to the identification of the Young Offender.

On May 6, 2021, members of the North Bay Police arrested a male, age 18, of North Bay, at a residence on Main Street East, North Bay, in relation to the April 27 home invasion. On May 8, 2021, members of the North Bay Police arrested a Young Offender in relation to the home invasion.

The 18-year old male is charged with:

  • Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Two counts of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Two counts of Firearm- Use while committing an offence
  • Two counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order
  • Two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Two counts of Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was a Firearm
  • One count of Disguise with intent
  • One count of Break, Enter dwelling – commit indictable offence

The Young Offender is charged with:

  • Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Two counts of Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Two counts of Firearm - Use while committing an offence
  • Two counts of Occupant of Motor Vehicle knowing there was a Firearm
  • Two counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order
  • Two counts of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • One count of Disguise with intent
  • One count of Break, Enter dwelling – commit indictable offence
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Sentence

Both accused are being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
