The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 45-year-old male with theft of a motor vehicle.

The accused in this matter is Lloyd LAFRENIERE, male, age 45, of North Bay, who is charged with:

• One count of Theft of Motor Vehicle
• Two counts of Driving while under suspension

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on November 13, 2023, the victim parked his vehicle in a parking lot on Oak Street East, North Bay. At approximately 12:00 p.m. the victim realized his vehicle was missing from the parking lot. The accused was identified through security camera footage. Police attended the accused’s residence at which point he was placed under arrest. Police recovered the victim’s vehicle.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
