Police Charge Man with Drug Trafficking Offences

On June 5, 2022, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 28-year old man with drug trafficking offences.

The accused in this incident is Cameron Lawrence Robert TRODD, male, age 28 of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • One count of Failure to comply with release order

At approximately 9:50 p.m. on June 5, 2022, while on patrol, members of the North Bay Police Service recognized the accused as he was travelling along Ann Street, North Bay. Knowing the accused was out in violation of a court-ordered curfew, the officers attempted an arrest. The accused fled officers but was stopped on Galt Street, where he was arrested.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 9 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • Drug trafficking equipment
  • A quantity of Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $3,000.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
