The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 33-year-old female and a 38-year-old male with drug trafficking offences.
The accused in this matter are:
Roxanne Diane Mary DENNE, female, age 33, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Traffick in Schedule I substance
- One count of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Jeffery Ronald QUENNEVILLE, male, age 38, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Traffick in Schedule I substance
- One count of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
- One count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- One count of Failure to comply with prohibition order
As part of an investigation, on September 6, 2023, members of the North Bay Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the accused. Searches by police revealed illegal narcotics, Canadian currency, drug trafficking equipment, and a prohibited weapon.
Later that same day, members of the North Bay Police Service executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100-block of Carruthers Street, North Bay. Searches by police resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics, Canadian currency, and drug trafficking equipment.
In total, searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 51 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
- A “butterfly” knife (prohibited weapon)
- Drug trafficking equipment
- A quantity of Canadian currency
- A Mitsubishi-brand vehicle (as offence related property)
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $3,600.
The accused were released on Undertakings with both accused set to appear before the court on October 17, 2023.
