The North Bay Police Service arrested a woman on charges of drug trafficking and seized over $33,000 in illegal narcotics.
The accused in this matter is Cassandra Ann Denise HICKS, female, age 30, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Once count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
As part of an investigation, on March 8, 2023, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Main Street East, North Bay. The accused was located inside the residence and arrested.
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 41 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 137 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 31 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
- Approximately 8 grams of suspected heroin
- Drug trafficking equipment
- A quantity of Canadian currency
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $33,700.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
