Pair Arrested for Stealing Pick-up Truck from Dealership

Officers from the North Bay Police Service Patrol section, responded to a call on McKeown Ave on March 12th, in relation to a pick-up truck that had been stolen from a car dealership. As a result of this incident, a male and a female have been arrested and charged.

The accused in this matter are:

Daryl Marc CARRIERE, male, age 40, of North Bay, who is charged with;

  • One count of Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • One count of Trafficking of Goods Obtained by Crime
  • One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crystal Meth)
  • One count of Breach of Probation

Crystal Lynn GAGNE, female, age 38, of North Bay, who is charged with;

  • One count of Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • One count of Trafficking of Goods Obtained by Crime
  • Two counts of Driving While Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

On March 12th, 2024, officers from the North Bay Police Service responded to a call for service, involving a pick-up truck that had been stolen from a local car dealership, sometime within the week prior. Further investigation revealed that on March 3rd, the two accused attended the car lot at around 10:30 pm, and removed a 2022 Toyota Tundra Limited double cab, black in colour, valued at over $54, 000. The North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit became involved with the investigation, and on March 20th, with the assistance of the Patrol section, located and arrested both the accused parties. Upon arrest, one of the accused was found to be in possession of a small quantity of Crystal Meth, and was charged accordingly.

Although the stolen pick-up truck has not been recovered yet, another vehicle which was used in the crime was seized by police.

Seizures by police as a result of this investigation;

  • 0.9 grams of Crystal methamphetamine
  • 2013 Ford Escape

Both accused have been held in custody for a bail hearing.
