Media Release: Street Crime Investigation nets $173K in Drugs and Cash

Officers from the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit arrested and charged a 53 year-old male with drug trafficking offences on February 29th, 2024. As a result of the investigation, over $173,000 in drugs and cash were seized.

The accused in this matter is:

Jason Robert WALL, age 53, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Throughout January and February of 2024, members of the North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit, conducted an investigation into drug trafficking in North Bay. On February 29th, the accused was observed getting into a rideshare vehicle after exiting his residence. With the assistance of the Patrol Section, a traffic stop was conducted on High Street in North Bay, and as a result, the accused was identified and arrested. A search of the accused revealed a large quantity of cocaine, fentanyl and Canadian currency. The accused was transported to North Bay Police Service headquarters, where he was processed and further searches were conducted.

In total, searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 376.9 grams of suspected Fentanyl
  • Approximately 309.6 grams of suspected Cocaine
  • $4530.00 in Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the drugs and cash seized is approximately $173,597.00.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
